"18-year-old Chicago native Kodie Shane comes from a deep music family. Her mom, dad and sister are all in the music business, and her aunt is R&B singer Cherrelle, who had a ‘80s hit with “I Didn’t Mean to Turn You On.” Kodie made her mark in Atlanta, part of a creative scene that stretches from producers Matty P and Coach K Maskin to “Minnesota” rapper Lil Yachty. The two connected at the ATL’s famous Masquerade club, she became part of the MC’s Sailing Team squad, with a feature on Yachty’s “All In.” Her ‘Little Rocket’ and ‘Zero Gravity’ EPs have both been critically acclaimed, and she’s become known for standout tracks such as “Sad” and “Losing Service.” Her Vevo dscvr performance of “Can You Handle It” was shot in Brooklyn, New York. "
